Forbes School of Business and Technology ™ at Ashford University Receives the 2016 Association for Distance Education and Independent Learning (ADEIL) College Level Course Award
Award recognizes the most outstanding college level credit course during the previous year

The Forbes School of Business and Technology at Ashford University has been named a recipient of the 2016 Association for Distance Education and Independent Learning (ADEIL) College Level Course Award. The 2016 ADEIL College Level Course Award recognizes the accomplishments of an academic institution and its faculty, to include instructor, author, primary editor, and course developer, who have worked together to create an exemplary course. The Forbes School of Business and Technology was recognized for the course redesign of Business 330: Principles of Marketing.

Forbes School of Business and Technology Program Chair and Instructor Brenda Forde accepted the 2016 ADEIL College Level Course Award on behalf of the Forbes School of Business and Technology during the ADEIL conference held in Colorado Springs, Colo. on October 19. 

“Ashford University is proud of the innovative, high-quality programs we provide to our students,” said Dr. Craig Swenson, Ashford University President and CEO. “The Forbes School of Business and Technology at Ashford University is honored to receive the 2016 ADEIL College Level Course Award.”

“Business 330 is a highly innovative course that employs the latest technology and real-world applications to provide students with an interactive and engaging classroom experience,” said Dr. Avisha Sadeghinejad, Forbes School of Business and Technology assistant professor, program chair, and lead course developer of Business 330. “Considering the needs and the nature of our students in mind as the first priority, Business 330 was developed as a course that offers richer learning experiences by creating engagement and giving the students an opportunity to connect theory and practice.”

Working alongside Dr. Sadeghinejad during the Business 330 course redesign were Dr. Paula Zobisch, Forbes School of Business and Technology associate professor, program chair, and instructor; iDesignEDU Learning Experience Designer Mike Pennella; and iDesignEDU Instructional Designer Technologist Suzi Mazzenga.
