Ashford University Faculty Present Research on Emotional Intelligence and Learning Styles

Ashford University faculty Drs. Renee Hill, Andree Swanson, and Jeral Kirwan were invited to present their research paper, Emotional Intelligence and Learning Styles: The Effect on Learning of Generationals, at the 19th Annual International Conference of Interactive Collaborative Learning held in Belfast, Northern Ireland.

Drs. Hill, Swanson, and Kirwan attended the conference and presented their findings after receiving 2016 Ashford University Fellows Program grants,

“My idea for the paper came from pairing my favorite research areas of student learning and generationals with Dr. Andree Swanson’s favorite research area of emotional intelligence,” said Dr. Hill, who served as the primary presenter for the Ashford faculty group. “By pairing the two research ideas, we created a comprehensive examination of differences in the learning and emotional styles of generationals in education and the workplace.”

The International Conference of Interactive Collaborative Learning is an interdisciplinary conference which aims to focus on the exchange of relevant trends and research results as well as the presentation of practical experiences gained while developing and testing elements of interactive computer aided learning.
