SAN DIEGO, Dec. 13, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Ashford University has launched a new master of instructional design and technology (MSIDT) degree program. The online program, which addresses a widespread need for individuals who can design and develop instruction, employee training, and educational programs and courses, will prepare students to serve varied audiences in diverse educational contexts in the areas of effective learning analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation.

As part of the program curriculum, students will design and develop learning solutions to address identified needs and problems, tailor coursework to individual design interests, and build a professional instructional design eportfolio.

"The project-based nature of the coursework in the MSIDT program will give students practical hands-on experience," said Dr. Chris Sorensen, program chair. "The work students will complete mirrors and prepares them for what they might be asked to carry out in the workplace."
