Members of Ashford University’s Golden Key International Honour Society have been asked to make two presentations at the organization’s regional conference in Minneapolis, MN from March 1-3.

The first presentation will focus on several service events that the Ashford chapter sponsored during the fall 2012 semester. Better World Books has also asked the chapter to make a presentation at the conference to share information about its successful fall 2012 book drive.

“Our chapter was informed that chapters performing the best book drives are asked to present at the regional conferences,” said Dr. William Woods, the group’s co-advisor. “The honors are special in that fall 2012 was the first semester for the campus chapter members to perform service events and a book drive.”

Dr. Woods, as well as Ashford University chapter members Makenna Yoerger, Clinton, IA; Alexis Kibler, Camanche, IA and Melody Williams, East Moline, IL are planning to attend the conference that is expected to attract members from 24 university and college chapters from eight Midwestern states.

Golden Key Honour Society recognizes academic excellence and encourages scholastic achievement among college students across all academic disciplines.
