Dr. Duane Larson will present “Peace for Israel and Palestine?,” reflections from on site conversations with Israelis and Palestinians, from ultra-conservative Zionist settlers to Hamas sympathizers, as part of the Ashford University Scholars Institute forum series. The presentation will take place on Tuesday, Feb. 19 at 6 p.m. in Room 3600 of the university’s St. Clare Hall.
Larson is a theologian, author, retired seminary president and emeritus professor of theology who also teaches courses in comparative religious ethics and critical reasoning at Ashford University.
He will present a review and analysis of the tension between Israel and West Bank/Palestine, having recently returned from a tour of the Middle East where he had conversations with Palestinian and Israeli leaders in fields such as religion, education, business, journalism, military and government.
The session is free and open to the public.
