Dr. Richard Pattenaude, Ashford University president and chief executive officer, was a guest panelist at the 2014 Association of Private Sector Colleges and Universities (APSCU) Annual Convention & Exposition in Las Vegas, Nev. The annual conference, held June 16-18, offered attendees five breakout sessions: CEO; Government Regulations/Regulatory; Innovations in Enrollment, Retention, and Graduation; Innovations in Education Delivery; and Innovations in Campus Leadership.

Dr. Pattenaude joined three other executives on the CEO panel and presented to more than 75 institutional CEOs. His presentation focused on the challenging intensity and speed of the private sector.

“Our sector faces a significant level of oversight and scrutiny,” said Dr. Pattenaude. “That can sometimes make us sound defensive. I feel, however, that Ashford and most institutions in the sector do a great job and should be loud and proud about our commitment to student success.”
