Ashford University's Forbes School of Business to Offer Student Scholarships
Partnership with Forbes Media provides Ashford University scholarship opportunities

The Forbes School of Business at Ashford University announced it will award ten scholarships valued at $5,000 each to students throughout 2014. As a result of Ashford’s partnership with Forbes Media, students will be able to apply for either a Senior Project Competition Scholarship or an Entrepreneurship Scholarship.

“Funding an education can be challenging, and finding online college scholarships can be time-consuming and difficult,” said Dr. Michael Reilly, executive dean and professor for the Forbes School of Business at Ashford University. “To that end, Ashford University is offering these scholarships to students enrolled in the Forbes School of Business.”

Five Senior Project Competition Scholarships will be awarded to eligible students who submit the best undergraduate senior projects. Committees comprised of Forbes School of Business faculty members and Forbes executives will evaluate each submission and determine the winners based, in part, on initial assignment criteria. The scholarship award will be applied toward future tuition in the student’s Forbes School of Business graduate program. Applications will be accepted from current undergraduate students and those who have graduated from an undergraduate Forbes School of Business program within the last 12 months. Students in online programs must complete the capstone course prior to application.

In addition, five Entrepreneurship Scholarships will be offered to applicants who exemplify the entrepreneurial spirit. A committee comprised of Forbes School of Business faculty members will evaluate each submission and determine the winners. The committee will select recipients based on the most compelling application, the applicant’s current business and/or new business idea, and the business’ potential impact on the economy. The current deadline to apply is March 31, 2014. The scholarship award will be applied to future tuition charges in the student’s Forbes School of Business degree program. The 2014 Entrepreneurship Scholarship opportunity is open to prospective students, students currently enrolled in an Ashford University degree program, returning students, and alumni of Ashford University degree programs.
