Alumni-Specific Facebook Page Introduced for Ashford University Graduates
Ashford University Alumni Association already boasts more than 600 "Likes"

The Ashford University Alumni Association (AUAA) has expanded its interactive and outreach capabilities for all graduates with the addition of a new Facebook page, facebook.com/AshfordAlumni. The page is already active and accessible to all Ashford alumni, with membership growing rapidly on the heels of Ashford University’s spring commencement, which took place this past weekend near the University’s Clinton, Iowa campus at the i wireless Center in Moline, Illinois.

The creation of a dedicated alumni resource for graduates of Ashford University was intended to support the launch of the Ashford University Alumni Association and the growing community of Ashford alumni, while providing an immediate and relevant conduit for alumni to communicate with fellow graduates. The AUAA page also provides the University with a direct link to alumni for outreach about special events, alumni-only gatherings, and updates on the goings on of the University; plus links visitors to the alumni association, a complimentary benefit of graduation from the University.

“We’re thankful to have such a wonderful community of alumni eager to support Ashford University,” said Amber Eckert, Ashford associate vice president of Student & Alumni Affairs. “The alumni association’s new Facebook page will expand the University’s outreach to its active alumni, which in turn will provide for the growth of the alumni community itself."

The Ashford University Alumni Association page joins the University’s main Facebook page, which boasts more than 67,000 “Likes” and the University’s military student-specific page, “Liked” by more than 3,000 users. For more information about the AUAA, please visit the University’s website at ashford.edu/community/alumni-association.htm.
