S.T.A.R. event to be held at the Los Angeles Boys & Girls Club in Lincoln Heights

Ashford University’s Sharing Time and Resources (S.T.A.R.) Program will be holding a volunteer event in Los Angeles, Calif. on Saturday, September 10. The S.T.A.R. event will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Los Angeles Boys & Girls Club, 2635 Pasadena Ave., Los Angeles.

Volunteers of the event will include Ashford students, alumni, staff, and affiliates of the Los Angeles Boys & Girls Club. Volunteer activities will focus on organizing the Boys & Girls Club donation closet, cleaning designated areas within the facility, painting, and landscaping the facility’s grounds.

“Ashford University students, alumni, and staff are excited to contribute their time and effort to help beautify the Los Angeles Boys & Girls Club facility in Lincoln Heights,” said Ben Gothia, student development and engagement specialist for Ashford University. “With the help of the S.T.A.R. program, Ashford is able to connect those who are interested in volunteering their time to organizations within the community that need assistance.”
