Ashford University Announces Partnership with Community College of the Air Force
Partnership enables Ashford to help military students achieve their educational goals

Ashford University has become a General Education Mobile (GEM) partner for the Community College of the Air Force. This partnership enables Ashford to continue working toward its mission of serving the military student population as they pursue their educational goals.

The General Education Mobile program was designed to help members of the U.S. Air Force fulfill their general education requirements in a mobile, non-traditional classroom format. Completing the GEM program is a key step for Air Force service members to earn their associate of applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force. Students can fulfill the GEM program requirements at Ashford by completing five online courses in subjects such as English Composition, Intermediate Algebra, Introduction to Psychology, and Ethics and Moral Reasoning.

The Community College of the Air Force is a federally chartered degree-granting institution that serves the United States Air Force’s enlisted service members. It partners with more than 100 affiliated Air Force schools and more than 1,500 civilian academic institutions, making it the world’s largest community college system. Each year, the Community College of the Air Force awards more than 22,000 associate of applied science degrees in 68 different degree programs.

More information about Ashford’s role as a GEM partner can be found on the General Education Mobile page on Ashford’s website.
