Forbes School of Business® at Ashford University Releases "Finding Your Passion" Video from the 2015 Forbes Women's Summit
Leaders share thoughts on the importance of being passionate about life choices

The Forbes School of Business at Ashford University today released the latest title in its series of videos from the 2015 Forbes Women’s Summit. The new video, titled “Finding Your Passion,” can be viewed online at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6ZKtyW6zI9E.

The “Finding Your Passion” video features interviews with Taryn Guerrero Davis, founder and executive director of American Widow Project; Dr. Risa Lavizzo-Mourey, president and CEO of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation; Danielle Weisberg, cofounder of TheSkimm.com; and Melanne Verveer, U.S. ambassador. They talk about the benefits of taking risks and why hearing “no” is part of the journey to success.

“Follow your passion,” Dr. Lavizzo-Mourey advised in the video. “If you’re not passionate about it, it’s going to be hard work and you may not want to do it in the long run.”

After a person discovers his or her passion, the next step toward achievement is often education.

“Education provides the backbone to understand what it will take to be successful in following your passion as well as assist you in effectively planning for managing any setbacks that may come when you need to re-plan to stay on your track of personal success,” said Dr. Karen Ivy, program chair at the Forbes School of Business at Ashford University.

The Forbes Women’s Summit took place on June 10, 2015, in New York City. It brought together 250 leaders from the worlds of business, philanthropy, education, media, and entertainment. As the official education partner for the summit, the Forbes School of Business at Ashford University had unique access to interview the leaders who participated in the event and gain their insight on several key issues. Those interviews have been compiled into a series of videos that the Forbes School of Business has been releasing over the course of the last month.
