Be Inspired by Business Leaders and Educators During Forbes School of Business® Mentor Week July 27-31
Interactive series of 14 business-focused presentations is free and open to the public

From Monday, July 27 through Friday, July 31, the Forbes School of Business at Ashford University will present Mentor Week, a five-day event featuring interactive online presentations from influencers and innovators representing all corners of the business community. Throughout the week, 14 different presenters who are either contributors to Forbes or faculty at the Forbes School of Business will discuss career-changing habits and problem-solving techniques for the modern workplace. Registration for all presentations is free and open to the public.

Forbes School of Business Mentor Week will kick off on Monday, July 27 with a presentation titled “Navigating the Future with Your Personal Action Plan” from Dr. Karen Lynne-Daniels Ivy at 10:00 a.m. (all listed times are Eastern Daylight Time). At 1:00 p.m., Dr. Shawn Milligan presents “Strategic Planning.” The day wraps up at 3:30 p.m. with “Why You Need Emotional Intelligence to Succeed” from Forbes contributor and leadership performance expert Dr. Travis Bradberry.

On Tuesday, July 28, Dr. Andree Swanson will present “Emotional Intelligence Action” at 10:00 a.m. Ken Krogue, who writes about sales and social media for Forbes, follows at 2:30 p.m. with “Inside Sales.”

At 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 29, Dr. Marcus Crayton discusses “Branding Yourself.” He is followed by Dr. Paula Zobisch at 1:00 p.m., who will present “Increase Your Visibility Through Networking.” Forbes contributor Rob Asghar concludes the day at 2:30 p.m. with “Are You Bad Enough to Be a Good Leader?”

Dr. Murad Abel kicks off the morning of Thursday, July 30 at 10:00 a.m. with “Crafting the Perfect Elevator Speech.” At 1:00 p.m., Bill Davis presents “Plan Your Work and Work Your Plan.” Martin Zwilling, who offers advice to entrepreneurs and startups for Forbes, finishes the day with “10 Tips for Entrepreneur Productivity and Time Management” at 2:30 p.m.

On Friday, July 31, Dr. Diane Hamilton begins the morning with “The Future of the Workplace” at 10:00 a.m. Dr. Alan Swank follows with “Your Digital Presence” at 1:00 p.m. Forbes School of Business Mentor Week wraps up at 2:00 p.m. with a presentation about “Simplexity” from Forbes contributor Dr. Markus Spiegel.

Forbes School of Business Mentor Week will feature an interactive component to further engage participants. Following the video presentations, which run 10-12 minutes in length, each speaker will participate in a live chat via Facebook. Participants will be able to submit questions and have them answered by the Mentor Week presenters.
