Ashford Students Headed to Australia for International Summit
Students receive grants to help with travel costs

Ashford University’s chapter of the Golden Key International Honour Society will be represented at the group’s international summit in Australia by two campus students and chapter advisor Dr. William Woods.

Chapter members Michael Murphy from Camanche, Iowa and Talia Rossi from Mundelein, Ill. will attend the conference set for July 16-19. Both students applied for and were selected to receive travel grants worth $1,750.00. The conference in Gold Coast, Queensland will be the first one that the honor society has held abroad. Representatives of college and university chapters from the United States, Europe, Africa, and Australia are expected to attend.

The two Ashford students met the selection criteria for the grant by serving as chapter officers, submitting their applications, and securing recommendations from university faculty or staff members.

“Once again, the Ashford University chapter has had a very good year and is close to meeting all chapter standards for achieving a high ranking with Golden Key,” Dr. Woods said. “The icing on the cake will be the trip to Australia.”
