The Golden Key International Honour Society, the world’s largest collegiate honor society, held one of its regional conferences in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida on March 10 and 11, 2017. Dr. William G. Woods, an Ashford University chapter advisor, gave a presentation on how to use management and leadership skills to drive chapter performance.
Students and faculty from several universities were in attendance. This included students from Ashford, who participated by asking several questions during the conference’s open sessions.
“For me, the highlight of the conference was having six of our students in attendance,” said Dr. Woods. “They participated with enthusiasm and professionalism.”
In addition to serving as a chapter advisor, Dr. Woods is an associate professor for Ashford and a board member of the Golden Key Council of Advisors.
Golden Key is the world's premier collegiate honor society, recognizing outstanding academic achievement and connecting high-achieving individuals locally, regionally, and globally with lifetime opportunity, reward, and success. It was founded in 1977 to recognize academic excellence and encourage scholastic achievement among college students across all academic disciplines.
