Ashford University Now Offering Honors College to Students
Honors College to enhance the Ashford student experience by providing an engaged, unique academic environment

Ashford University has announced it has formed the Honors College at Ashford University. Intended to serve the institution’s undergraduate population, the Honors College will offer students a path to enhance their degree program with an interdisciplinary Honors curriculum.

“The Honors College at Ashford University is a selective college focused on providing high-achieving students with an academically enriched curriculum that will challenge them even further,” said Dr. Laura Palmer Noone, senior vice president of academic affairs and chief academic officer of Ashford University. “The Honors College will prepare students for academic success, particularly in the areas of leadership, innovation, global perspective, and civic responsibility.”

To be eligible for enrollment in Ashford’s Honors College, a student must have completed 30 credits with a 3.75 grade point average. For students with less than 30 credits, they are required to complete 15 credits with the university with a 3.75 grade point average or higher. In addition, eligible students must submit a personal statement and provide a resume and two letters of recommendation.

The Honors College at Ashford will require admitted students to complete a series of classes that promote leadership, innovation, global perspective, and civic responsibility. The curriculum is intended to enhance a student’s degree program, and in addition, will add a prestigious recognition to a graduate’s diploma and academic transcript.
