SAN DIEGO, Jan. 5, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Ashford University formed articulation agreements with five community and regional colleges in the fourth quarter of 2011. The agreements allow for students of these two-year schools to transfer credits toward a bachelor's degree at Ashford University.
The colleges that established articulation agreements with Ashford University are Indian Hills Community College in Iowa; Yavapai College and Mohave Community College in Arizona; Joliet Junior College in Illinois; and College of Southern Nevada in Nevada.
"These agreements are great for all schools and students involved," said Mark Young, Ashford University's director of academic partnerships. "It makes for an almost seamless transition to a four-year university."
The academic partnerships between Ashford University and these community colleges show a commitment to increasing educational opportunities and facilitating progression for students transferring from a two-year college to a four-year institution.
