Dr. Elizabeth Tice, president of Ashford University, will speak at this week’s Learning-On-the-Go (LOGO) Education Summit. The conference is a gathering of academic professionals focused on the goal of expanding digital and internet access for American students. It will take place January 12 and 13 at University of San Diego.
The event will be attended by a select audience of more than 200 people, including representatives from congressional offices, the Department of Education, the National School Board Association, the Federal Communications Commission and the National Governor’s Association, all seeking to improve contemporary students’ web-based educational resources.
“Enabling improved connectivity for the American student is a laudable goal,” stated Dr. Tice. “We appreciate being a part of the Learning-On-the-Go summit and having the opportunity to contribute.”
The federal initiative funding the LOGO program has established 20 pilot programs in 14 states, all of which are represented at the January summit at University of San Diego. The conference is being hosted by the San Diego County Office of Education.
“We’re excited to be hosting the Learning-On-the-Go Summit, and we truly appreciate the support of Ashford University in making the summit possible,” said San Diego County superintendent of schools Randy Ward. “Ashford is a leader in the technology-driven transformation of education, so they’re an ideal partner.
