Ashford University has been selected as a partner for the California Interagency Council on Veterans (ICV). Under this partnership, Ashford will work with ICV to help ensure the state's military community receives the highest level of services possible. Ashford shares ICV's mission to improve the lives of California veterans and their families.

Buchmiller serves as Ashford's designated ICV partner, working collaboratively with top officials from California community colleges, state universities and private non-profit institutions. She participated in the ICV’s two-day launch workshop in Sacramento, where California’s top experts gathered to develop a new state plan for veterans. Buchmiller serves in ICV’s Education group, which is responsible for coordinating state plans for education and ensuring those plans are implemented to help veterans access all available support services.

Ashford University’s participation in the ICV is a natural extension of the University’s efforts to provide veterans with the support they need to achieve their academic goals and successfully complete their college degrees.
