Ashford University’s St. Francis Gymnasium will be transformed into a gigantic science laboratory when the Ashford Mu Sigma Eta organization hosts its third annual Science Fair on Saturday, March 24.
Area third through eighth graders are invited to showcase their science projects from 10 a.m. until noon. The public is invited to see the students’ exhibits and demonstrations that, in the past, have included a wide variety of subjects – from volcanoes and astronomy to geology and animal behavior.
The competition will be divided into two divisions – grades 3-5 and grades 6-8, with prizes being presented to the top entries in each division during an awards ceremony at noon. All entries will receive a certificate of participation.
Mu Sigma Eta is a campus group comprised of honor students from the fields of biology, chemistry and mathematics. The group promotes the scientific development of its members. Admission is by faculty invitation only.
For more information on the science fair or to obtain a registration form, contact Dr. Sarah Gall at 563.242.4023, ext. 7829.
