In recognition of National Volunteer Month, Ashford University, an educational institution owned by Bridgepoint Education, Inc. (NYSE: BPI), has designated tomorrow, April 14, 2012, to be “Ashford University Volunteer Day.” 

Ashford students across the country are being asked to volunteer tomorrow in a collaborative effort to show the community how much the University’s students care. Students will be posting pictures and sharing their volunteer stories on the Ashford University Facebook page and via Twitter, using the #AshfordVolunteers hashtag.

In Clinton, Iowa, home of the Ashford University campus, students, faculty and staff will spend the day cleaning up several areas of the community to help prepare for the hundreds of guests expected for the spring commencement ceremony on April 28 and 29.

Social responsibility has always been a major component of the Ashford University experience.
