Ashford University has announced a new articulation agreement with Barstow Community College (BCC). The school, located in Barstow, California, focuses on green technology and alternative energy programs.
Through the agreement, participating students will be able to transfer up to 90 of their credits earned at Barstow Community College into one of Ashford’s online or campus bachelor’s degree programs.
“We are pleased to team up with a school of Barstow’s caliber,” said David Vande Pol, senior director of academic partnerships for Ashford University. “Through the agreement, BCC students will be able to transfer into one of Ashford University’s acclaimed bachelor’s degree programs, while enjoying a low tuition rate, as well as the potential to transfer up to 90 of their community college credits.”
“We’re excited to provide Barstow’s students with even more options after their time with us. This agreement allows them to take advantage of the hard work they did with us, and apply those credits toward a bachelor’s degree program with Ashford,” stated Apineru Lealofi, articulation officer for Barstow Community College. “We wanted to collaborate with Ashford because they offer students flexibility and convenience when pursing their education. Many of our students are working adults, so this is essential.”
To date, Ashford University has 37 articulation agreements representing 133 colleges.
