Ashford University recently presented a check for $2,554.75 to the Gateway Area Chapter of the American Red Cross for its International Relief Fund.  The check was from Ashford’s parent company, Bridgepoint Education, Inc. The company matched the donations of Bridgepoint and Ashford employees during a fund drive after the Haiti earthquake in January.  All combined, Bridgepoint Education and its employees contributed more than $25,000.00 nationally to the relief fund.  Presenting the check to Amber Wood, Executive Director of the Gateway Area Chapter of the American Red Cross (second from left) were Ashford employees and local Red Cross board members Charlie Minnick, Dave Stedwell and Jody Graham.
