Ashford University has announced the introduction of a new Bachelor of Arts degree in Operations Management and Analysis.
The degree is part of a greater effort to provide high quality degree programs for those seeking careers in business and, specifically, for those seeking careers in business analytical fields, where improving productivity or quality is of particular importance. A distinguishing feature of the program is the integration of a broader business curriculum, which aids the student’s understanding of the business as a whole.
“Ashford University’s Bachelor of Arts in Operations Management and Analysis combines a well balanced blend of general business and business analytic core courses, for a comprehensive education in this field,” said Dr. Michael Reilly, program director of the Ashford University College of Business and Professional Studies.
The Bachelor of Arts in Operations Management and Analysis prepares students to be operations managers who possess the analytical, problem-solving, and behavioral management skills needed to diagnose problems, improve operating systems, and gather support for required system improvements that contribute to a business's success. It prepares students for employment in a variety of business fields, particularly manufacturing, production control, distribution, inventory control, quality management, and supply chain management.
The Bachelor of Arts in Operations Management and Analysis is currently available online at Ashford University. It does not include any additional professional licensures or certifications.
