Ashford University has announced two new articulation agreements with colleges in Wyoming. The agreements will partner Ashford with both Laramie County Community College (LCCC) in Laramie, WY and Casper College in Casper, WY.
With these partnerships in place, participating students will be able to transfer up to 90 of their credits earned at either LCCC or Casper College into one of Ashford’s online or campus bachelor’s degree programs.
“We are pleased to team up with Laramie County Community College,” said David Vande Pol, senior director of academic partnerships for Ashford University. “LCCC was recently named the number one tech-savvy community college in the nation for mid-size community colleges and continues to provide innovative opportunities for their students.”
Casper College offers more than 50 associate degree programs and 30 one-year certificate programs in eight academic divisions.
“Casper College has a history of contributing to economic development by providing customized training, licensure and certification for workers in a variety of energy and industrial fields,” Vande Pol said. “Ashford’s acceptance of industry-specific course work will enable these students to get a jump start on their bachelor’s degree and potential promotions at work.”
“Our partnership with Ashford University gives our students another option for continued success,” said Joe Simon, university partnerships coordinator for Casper College. “Being in Wyoming, it is important for us to give our students opportunities like this to obtain the education they need to achieve the careers that they want.”
To date, Ashford University has 40 articulation agreements representing 137 colleges.
