Ashford University welcomed 189 new students to its campus this fall, enrolling the largest number of new students in the 90 year history of the University’s Clinton campus.
Ashford University also has more students – 687 in total – enrolled in courses on campus than at any other time in its history.
“Ashford is unique for many reasons but, most notably, for its affordability, its exceptionally low student-to-teacher ratio, and its faculty and staff – all who are highly committed to academic excellence,” said Dr. Jane McAuliffe, President of Ashford University. “That, and our collegiate atmosphere, is what I really believe draws students to Ashford University. We absolutely look forward to the future and to welcoming many more new students to our campus.”
In addition to all of the other records set, the university also now has more college students living on campus – 225 of them – than at any other time in its 90 year history.
“It is gratifying to see all of this activity and excitement on campus,” said Sister William McCue, who has been a professor with the University since starting her teaching career in 1964, when the campus was named Mount St. Clare College. “We have never seen this many students on campus nor in our dormitories. We are pleased to be providing so many new students with such a positive campus experience.”
“All of this campus growth is especially rewarding because of its positive impact on the community of Clinton and its residents,” said McAuliffe. “Ashford University continues to add jobs both on campus, and at our nearby Online Center.”
