Ashford University is pleased to announce its partnership with Iowa Western Community College, located in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Through the partnership, thousands of students at IWCC will be able to transfer into one of Ashford’s acclaimed bachelor’s programs.
Students in the school can earn a bachelor’s degree, while enjoying Ashford’s low tuition rate and transfer policy which allows the transfer of 90 community college credits.
“Iowa Western Community College has demonstrated a commitment to making higher education accessible, particularly to working adults, which is a principle our university was founded on,” said David Vande Pol, Senior Director of Academic Partnerships for Ashford University. “We are honored to partner with a college of IWCC’s stature and look forward to both our partnership and to helping IWCC students earn their bachelor’s degrees through Ashford.”
Iowa Western’s articulation agreement with Ashford University enables students, who opt to transfer, guaranteed admission and the ability to carry the credits they have already earned. The agreement is available to Iowa Western students who graduate with any academic degree or certificate and opt to continue their education with Ashford.
“Iowa Western is excited about its new partnership with Ashford University,” said IWCC President Dr. Dan Kinney. “Ashford is a quality institution that will provide our transfer students with another avenue toward meeting their goals of achieving a bachelor’s degree.”
All applicable credits earned from Iowa Western Community College in all programs will be accepted and applied to the appropriate Ashford University degrees. This includes all applicable credits from technical and vocational courses.
“We’re excited to provide baccalaureate-seeking Iowa Western students with this opportunity to earn their degrees through our partnership,” added Vande Pol. “This unique collaboration opens the door for many who have long wanted to obtain a bachelor’s degree but could only do so in a cost-effective and convenient manner.”
