Ashford University (AU) has announced the introduction of a Marketing minor and specialization through AU’s College of Business and Professional Studies. These additions are part of the university’s plan to increase study options and professional opportunities for its undergraduate students.
“We believe marketing is the heartbeat of business,” said Dr. Michael Reilly, Professor and Program Director of the College of Business and Professional Studies at AU. “Our team took great care to develop these new academic programs. We are excited to see how this additional branch of coursework will continue to foster the more creative capabilities of our students.”
The new 6 class/18 unit minor and 4 class/12 unit specialization are currently being offered to all online, undergraduate students enrolled at AU - specifically, those interested in pursuing Bachelor’s degrees in Business Administration and/or Sports and Recreation Management.
“Those who choose to enroll in the Marketing minor or specialization will learn the essentials of the marketing discipline; knowledge that will prepare them to assume larger, decision-making roles in their future careers,” added Reilly.
Students graduating from AU with a minor or specialization in Marketing will be academically prepared for careers such as advertising or sales coordinator, marketing or public relations specialist, art director, brand manager, account executive, and promotions representative.
