Ashford University has expanded its academic portfolio to include a new Master of Arts degree in Health Care Administration. The graduate degree program furthers Ashford University’s continued commitment to providing students with high-quality, innovative and easily accessible academic degree program options. 

“As Program Director for the master’s degree in Health Care Administration, it has been my privilege to work with some of the most highly qualified, experienced, and academically credentialed experts in this field,” said Mary Alexander, Program Director for Ashford University’s College of Arts and Sciences. “The development and implementation of this program was a collaborative effort between our Academic Affairs team and university faculty.  We believe we have developed a program that is timely and relevant, by addressing one of our most important societal needs.” 

According to Dr. Curt Lowe, Dean of Ashford’s College of Arts and Sciences, “There is a growing need for scholastically prepared health care professionals and this graduatedegree program is right in line with that need. It’s a natural progression from Ashford’s bachelor’s degree program in Health Care Administration.” 

Graduates with a Master of Arts degree in Health Care Administration will be academically prepared for careers in/or related to the health care industry, in such positions as: patient advocate, medical service manager, health care and product manager, consultant, research analyst, director of market research, director of strategic planning and community health care organizer.
