Ashford University has expanded its academic portfolio to include a bachelor’s degree in Business Information Systems. The new undergraduate program reinforces Ashford University’s continued commitment to provide its students with high-quality, innovative and easily accessible academic degree program options.
“Ashford University’s Bachelor of Arts in Business Information Systems degree program combines the optimum blend of business theory and professional practice with information systems,” said Dr. Michael Reilly, program director for Ashford University’s College of Business and Professional Studies.
“It was designed for students whose interests lie beyond simple technical support. Students who chose to enroll in this comprehensive curriculum will learn about current data information systems in addition to general business principles,” Dr. Reilly added.
The Business Information Systems bachelor’s degree program is being offered to both online and on campus students. The 120-unit program consists of 46 general education requirements, 45 major course requirements and 29 elective credit requirements. Students transferring into Ashford University’s bachelor’s degree programs from other academic institutions may transfer up to 99 semester credits, pending approval by Ashford University.
Graduates of Ashford University’s Business Information Systems bachelor’s degree program will be academically prepared for careers in such fields as: information systems project management, data systems training, computer support, e-commerce development, technology planning, and enterprise system administration.
