Ashford University will recognize the accomplishments of its fall athletic teams during a university-wide celebration to be held on Monday, Nov. 16.
The Ashford University men's soccer team qualified for the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) National Championships after winning the Midwest Collegiate Conference (MCC) Tournament Thursday, Nov. 12. Earlier, men's cross country runner Andrew Drinkall of Hooppole, IL, qualified for the NAIA National Championships by finishing fifth at the MCC Meet on Saturday, Nov. 7.
All fall student-athletes, including All-Conference honorees, will be recognized during a celebration planned for Monday, Nov. 16, at noon in St. Francis Gymnasium on Ashford’s campus. President of Ashford University, Dr. Jane McAuliffe, along with other distinguished guests, will be on hand to congratulate the student-athletes and wish the men’s soccer team and Drinkall well as they advance to their national competitions.
