A group of Ashford University employees recently dedicated their fall fundraising campaign to helping out The Victory Center of Clinton. Events included bake sales and an auction with items ranging from gift certificates from local businesses to an autographed baseball from Chicago Cubs’ outfielder Alfonso Soriano. 

With a generous donation from Wal-Mart, the original goal of $1,000 (enough to feed the Center’s patrons for one day) was surpassed with a final total of more than $4,000. Presenting the donation to Pastor Ray Gimenez, Director of the Center (fourth from left in photo above), were Angela Gillette, Leah Johannes, Bill Davis, Lisa Betczynski, Sue Cannon, Angela Thomas, Megan Parketon, Beth Kerkove, Nichole Friedrichsen, Gail Houzenga, John Stender, Mary Schanze, Tricia Lawrence and Lynne Trevisan.
