Nearly 30 businesses are planning to participate in the annual Ashford University Career Fair on Thursday, April 7.

“Are you ready to advance your career or explore new employment opportunities? Has the condition of the economy affected your job?” asked Jill Mussmann, staffing manager at Ashford University. “Career fairs are great places to learn about job openings, employment resources and to network with different employers. Considering the challenges we are all facing due to the economy we hope that all members of the community will take advantage of this great opportunity here at Ashford.”

The free career event will be held from 1-5:30 p.m. in Ashford’s Durgin Educational Center, 400 N. Bluff Blvd., Clinton, Iowa. Non-profit agencies and for profit businesses will have employment information booths at the fair and refreshments will be served.  The public is invited to attend.

The following organizations are planning to participate: American Red Cross, Ashford University ASPIRE, Ashford University Employment, Ashford University Traditional, Bridgeview Community Mental Health Center, Citizens First Bank, Community Care Inc., Custom-Pak, Davenport Community School District, Hoff Resumes and Career Counseling, Information, Referral and Assistance Services, Iowa 80 Group, KWQC-TV 6, MAC FM 94.7 and AM 1390 KCLN, Manpower, Mass Mutual Financial Group, McEleney Motors, Mercy Medical Center, Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance, Palmer College of Chiropractic, Skyline Center, Inc., St. Ambrose University, The Alverno, The Home Depot, Thrivent Financial for Lutherans and Western Illinois University.
