At its recent annual conference in Las Vegas, NV, the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education (IACBE) recognized Ashford University’s College of Business and Professional Studies for achieving first-time accreditation. 

The IACBE awarded certificates of first-time accreditation and reaffirmation of accreditation to nine academic business units in the United States and abroad.  

The IACBE said the Ashford University College of Business and Professional Studies has undertaken a rigorous self-evaluation; has undergone a comprehensive, independent peer review; and has demonstrated compliance with the following accreditation principles of the IACBE:

In addition, the College of Business and Professional Studies has demonstrated a commitment to continuous improvement, excellence in business education, and advancing academic quality. 

Also during the IACBE conference, Dr. Charlie Minnick, dean of Ashford University’s College of Business and Professional Studies, was elected to the organization's board of directors.
