Clinton’s University will observe its one-year of becoming “Ashford University” with a celebration on Tuesday, March 21. The community is invited to the event that begins at 6 p.m. in Ashford’s Durgin Educational Center.

“It’s difficult to believe it’s been a year since we became ‘Ashford University,’” said CEO Andrew Clark, who will be speaking at the March 21^st event. “In that year, we have significantly increased the University’s student enrollment and the number of our fulltime Clinton staff, improved our technology infrastructure, purchased new furniture for our residence halls and Student Center and increased our sponsorship of community activities. But that’s just the beginning of what we have planned to take Ashford to places it has never been before – record enrollments and employment, and innovative educational programming.”

Clark said the anniversary observance will be a time to “reflect on what we have accomplished in the past year and look ahead to Ashford’s exciting future.”

In addition to Clark, presentations will be made by Sister William McCue; veteran Ashford faculty member; Sister Ruth Cox, member of the Ashford Board of Trustees and Dennis Lauver, President of the Clinton Area Chamber of Commerce.
