Ashford University’s Circle K Club is sponsoring a Thanksgiving food drive for the area’s less fortunate people. Clinton’s Victory Center will receive the non-perishable and canned food collected by the club. Circle K Moderator Joni Dolan said, “We wanted to find a way to help the needy in our area and a food drive seemed like a spectacular way for Ashford students, faculty and staff to get involved in the community.”
Food drop boxes are located in the bookstore, the library and the information desk in St. Clare Hall, the student services office and the athletics office in the Durgin Educational Center. The drive will run until November 23; a giant can of Campbell’s soup by the information desk will keep track of the goal.
“Circle K would like to receive 200 items and everyone is asked to help so this goal is achieved,” Dolan said. “Remember, it is the season for giving, so give as many canned goods and non perishable food items as you can.”
