Four students were inducted into Ashford University’s Lambda Sigma Society, a national honor society, on Monday, March 27.
Lambda Sigma recognizes scholarship, service and leadership in sophomores. Membership in the Alpha Upsilon chapter is extended to full-time, on-campus sophomores who have completed at least one freshman semester at Ashford University and attained a semester grade point average of 3.20 or above.
New members of the organization include:
Mike Conover, the son of Carl and Laura Conover, Fulton. A graduate of Fulton High School, he is in the University’s general studies program. Conover is also a member of Ashford’s men’s soccer team.
Erica J. Edens, the daughter of Tim and Jude Edens of Moline. An elementary education major, she is also a member of the women’s soccer team. She graduated from Moline High School
Stephanie Lindley, the daughter of Kevin and Faith Lindley of Albany. She is majoring in secondary education/English and language arts and is a tutor in the University’s Flavian Achievement Center. Lindley is a graduate of Fulton High School.
Allison Sater, daughter of Harold and Cori Sater, Low Moor. She graduated from Central High School in DeWitt and is majoring in liberal arts/secondary education.
The four new inductees were also elected as officers of the honor society: Sater as president, Conover as vice president; Lindley as secretary and Edens as treasurer.
