Ashford University Makes Lowest Tuition List
Online tuition 32 percent below national average of priave for-profit four-year or above institutions for the 2010-2011 year

The National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) reports  Ashford University is on the list of the ten percent of institutions that have the lowest tuition and required fees of private for-profit four-year or above institutions. According to the numbers, released by NCES, Ashford University’s online tuition was 32 percent below the national average of private for-profit four-year or above institutions for the 2010-2011 year.

“While quality remains at the forefront of Ashford’s focus in education, our mission is to provide accessible, affordable, innovative, and high-quality learning opportunities and degree programs to meet the needs of individuals pursuing higher education,” said Dr. Elizabeth Tice, president of Ashford University. “We are pleased to make this list as it affirms we are fulfilling our purpose in the sphere of higher education.”

The lists were generated using data collected by NCES through the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS) based on data collected during the 2010-11 IPEDS data collection cycle, which represents the most recent data that have undergone the full NCES data review process. These lists meet requirements outlined in the Higher Education Opportunity Act of 2008 (HEOA). Per the HEOA, the lists are updated annually and posted by July 1.
