Ashford University Executive Dean to lead Google+ Hangout Discussion
Dr. Andrew Shean leads discussion on how technology is changing education

It proved to be a big hit for president Barack Obama back in January so, now, Ashford University executive dean Dr. Andrew Shean will lead a Google+ Hangout on July 23 from 3:30-4:30 p.m. PST. Shean will preside over a panel discussion with seven other Ashford University educators on how technology is changing the landscape of higher education. This Google+ Hangout session will be live streamed via Ashford’s YouTube, Facebook and Google+ pages.

“We hope to use this new and exciting platform to get the message out about how disruptive innovation has the potential to transform how technology will spark disruptive change in higher education,” said Shean. “With deep budget cuts a new reality in 21st century education, we want to have a very open, very real, discourse on how technology can be a game changer.”

Andrew Shean, EdD has served as executive dean of Ashford University’s College of Education for the past year and has an unbridled passion for “distance learning” and the disruptive nature of emerging educational technology.

Students are encouraged to view this Hangout as it is the first of many Google+ Hangouts that will help connect students to Ashford University’s leaders and faculty.
