Ashford University’s Homefront Heroes Scholarships Will Send Five San Diego Military Spouses to College
A choice of bachelor’s or associate’s degrees will be available to scholarship winners

Ashford University’s Homefront Heroes program has made five college scholarships available to military spouses. The university created the San Diego County Homefront Heroes Scholarship as a salute to the wives and husbands of American service members.

Ashford University’s 2016 San Diego County Homefront Heroes Scholarship Program acknowledges the unsung patience, tenacity, and faith required to be a military wife or husband. These scholarships are available to San Diego-based spouses and spouse-survivors of veterans and active duty members of the U.S. military, including the National Guard and reservists.

“Ashford University has been a long-standing supporter of the military and the spouses of our military service members,” said Dr. Craig Swenson, president and CEO of Ashford University. “Over the years, the University has offered the Homefront Heroes Scholarship to military spouses with the intent of providing these spouses an opportunity to earn a college education and to seek the bright future that education offers.”

Further information and rules for the 2016 Ashford University San Diego County Homefront Heroes Scholarship Program are available at AshfordHomefrontHeroes.com. All interested parties can submit an application between September 12 and November 6, 2016. Scholarship recipients will be notified by phone or mail on or about December 1, 2016.
