Ashford University Welcomes One of its Largest Freshman Classes to Date
Freshman Enrollment Grew by 64% over Prior Year

Ashford University welcomed 113 new freshmen to its campus this year; the largest freshman class since 1999, and a 64% increase over prior year. Ashford’s campus based accelerated adult population grew 65% over prior year, with 142 adult students enrolled. Overall, total enrollment, including Ashford’s adult programs, reached 503, a 22% increase over prior year. Not included in the aforementioned enrollment but substantial none the less, are the 39 high school students from the local area taking college courses through Ashford.

“This is just one of many exciting milestones we’ve reached as a University,” said Andrew Clark, CEO of Ashford University. “We will soon have ten thousand students around the U.S., and U.S. News and World Report just named Ashford as one of the top tier baccalaureate colleges in the Midwest, as well as one of the most diverse. The future of our University has never been brighter and I am honored to be to be a part of it.”

Mr. Clark added that it was especially rewarding to see this growth positively impact the community of Clinton and its residents. Ashford University continues to add jobs to the Clinton Community both on campus and at their new Online Center. Since 2006, Ashford has seen a 149% increase in total jobs, and currently employs over 324 employees.

Dr. , President of Ashford University, added, “Ashford is very unique in that it is affordable, offers an exceptionally low teacher-to-student ratio, and has a faculty and staff highly committed to academic excellence. I think what really draws students to our beautiful campus, though, is the personal touch and care they get at Ashford University. We look forward to welcoming many more freshmen in the future.”
