Ashford University and North Metro Technical College Sign Articulation Agreement

Ashford University is pleased to announce its partnership with North Metro Technical College in Acworth, Georgia. Through the partnership, thousands of students at North Metro will be able to transfer into one of Ashford’s acclaimed bachelor’s programs.

Students in the school now have the ability to earn a bachelor’s degree while enjoying Ashford’s low tuition rate and a transfer policy which allows for the transfer of 90 community college credits.

“North Metro Technical College has demonstrated a commitment to making higher education accessible, and that is precisely what Ashford University is all about,” said David Vande Pol, Senior Director of Academic Partnerships for Ashford University. “We are honored to partner with North Metro and look forward to helping many of its students earn their bachelor’s degrees through Ashford.”

North Metro’s articulation agreement with Ashford University enables students, who opt to transfer, guaranteed admission and the ability to carry the credits they have already earned. The agreement is available to North Metro students who graduate with any academic degree or certificate and opt to continue their education with Ashford.

“The staff at North Metro is always looking for avenues that will provide our students with opportunities to apply their associate degree work towards a Bachelor’s degree,” said Ron Webb, North Metro Technical College Dean of Instruction.  “Our agreement with Ashford University gives students an option that is perfect for technical college graduates; their program is affordable and convenient for students that are working in the area we trained them for.”  All applicable credits earned from North Metro Technical College in all programs will be accepted and applied to the appropriate Ashford University degrees. This includes all applicable credits from technical and vocational courses.

“We’re excited to provide baccalaureate-seeking North Metro students with this opportunity to earn their degrees through our partnership,” added Vande Pol. “This unique collaboration opens the door for many who have long wanted to obtain a bachelor’s degree but could only do so in a cost-effective and convenient manner.”
