Ashford University Holds Two May Graduation Ceremonies

Ashford University announced the introduction of a new Master of Arts in Education online degree program. The Master of Arts in Education degree program, which includes nine new specializations, is one of three master’s degree programs to be added to Ashford University’s diverse portfolio of academic offerings in the past week.  

The Master of Arts in Education degree program was designed to enhance students’ understanding of current education processes and policies and to provide them with the skills needed to advance their careers in the education industry. Students wishing to pursue their Master of Arts in Education degree may select between nine new specializations within the major: Teacher Leader, Higher Education, Curriculum and Instruction, Distance Learning, Early Childhood Education, Educational Technology Leadership, Cultural Responsive Educator, Assessment and Measurement, and English Language Learner.

“Our Master of Arts in Education degree program was designed to meet the specific professional-development needs of today’s educator,” said Dr. Joen Rottler, Dean of the

College of Education for Ashford University. “Through a number of specializations, students may select which area of interest suits them best and then navigate their way through that learning landscape. The program provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary to address the individual learning needs of all of their students.”

The Master of Arts in Education degree program has been approved by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools as a postsecondary academic degree program and does not include any additional professional licensures or certifications. Students seeking licensure or certification should consult the appropriate corresponding entities.
