Ashford University Named to the Top 25 Military Friendly List by Military Times Edge Magazine

Ashford University was honored as one of the “Top 50 Military Friendly Schools” in the August edition of The Military Times Edge magazine.

More than 645,000 active duty service members enrolled in voluntary education programs in 2008, and of those, at least 450,000 took college-level courses. The list was compiled using information received by the military from service members, including veterans and members of the reserve, who applied for educational G.I. benefits.

“Ashford University is deeply committed to the educational needs of the brave men and women who serve and protect our nation,” said KC Haight, associate vice president of Military and Corporate Development for Ashford University. “It’s a great honor to know that so many service-members choose to take Ashford courses, either on our campus, or online from thousands of locations around the world.”

Ashford University provides education benefits to all qualified military personnel and their spouses.  The university's military grant also waives application and technology fees and pays for all books and applicable shipping costs for qualified military students.  In addition, Ashford University provides a specialized team of advisors who assist students with enrollment, academic and financial needs.
