Ashford University Introduces New Bachelor's Degree in Entrepreneurship

Ashford University has introduced a new online bachelor degree program in Entrepreneurship.

The Bachelor of Arts in Entrepreneurship prepares students seeking careers in business and, specifically, those seeking to launch and run an entrepreneurial enterprise. A distinguishing feature of the program is the integration of a broader business curriculum.

“Ashford University’s Bachelor of Arts in Entrepreneurship degree combines the optimum blend of general business, and specifically tailored Entrepreneurship courses, for a comprehensive education in this field,” said Dr. Michael Reilly, program director of Ashford University’s College of Business and Professional Studies. “Students learn to assess risks, market a product or service, raise capital, and launch a business. As a final step, the program requires the completion of a business plan under the guidance of an experienced faculty member.”

In addition to helping students find employment in a variety of business positions, the Bachelor of Arts in Entrepreneurship degree will teach students to identify business opportunities, organize resources, and to plan and operate a business.

The new degree program in Entrepreneurship is currently available online at Ashford University. It has been approved by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools as a postsecondary academic degree program. It does not include any additional professional licensures or certifications.
