Ashford University Enters into Alliance Agreement with AICPCU and the Insurance Institute of America

Ashford University has entered into an alliance agreement with the American Institute of Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters (AICPCU) and the Insurance Institute of America (The Institutes).

Through the agreement, insurance industry professionals who have taken approved coursework through The Institutes may receive credit which will be applicable toward a bachelor’s degree from Ashford University. Additionally, students may be able to transfer up to 59 semester credits and apply previously taken coursework toward a concentration in Insurance and Risk Management.

“Ashford University is proud to be able to add value to the extensive training insurance professionals have participated in through the AICPCU and the Insurance Institute of America. This partnership will allow thousands of insurance professionals, who have already been proactive in their education, to use the training toward earning a college degree, which in many cases, is necessary for advancement within their organizations,” said Dr. Jane McAuliffe, president and chief executive officer for Ashford University.

"Many people have chosen to get insurance industry-specific knowledge from the AICPCU and The Institutes, only to decide later they want to earn a traditional degree. Ashford University offers people a way to earn a traditional degree in an untraditional way. Our agreement with Ashford University enables our students and graduates to leverage their achievements with us into a degree program they want," said Connor Harrison, director of Custom Products for the AICPCU. “Ashford makes college credit transfer easy, painless, and oftentimes free.”
