Ashford University Introduces New MBA Specialization in Business Economics

Ashford University has introduced a new specialization in business economics for students pursuing a Master of Business Administration degree.

The specialization was developed in order to reinforce the natural relationship between the disciplines of economics and finance. The program will focus on the impact that economic forces, such as employment, inflation, interest rates, and monetary and fiscal policy, have on business.

“Ashford University’s MBA with Business Economics specialization further enhances the graduate student’s ability to understand and quantify the economic forces driving the business. It’s designed for those unique individuals seeking a deeper appreciation of markets,” said Dr. Michael Reilly, program director of the Ashford University College of Business and Professional Studies. “For students in our MBA program looking to be successful entrepreneurs or business leaders within an organization, an understanding of how local, national and global economies impact enterprise is key. This specialization will give a greater range and breadth to our already excellent program,” he added.

Ashford University’s MBA specialization in Business Economics program is currently available online. It does not include any additional professional licensures or certifications.
