Phi Beta Lambda Celebrates Business Education

Doug Rempfer, Iowa Workforce Development advisor, recently spoke to members of the Ashford University Phi Beta Lambda (PBL) group and other university students during PBL’s “Celebrating Business Education” series.

Rempfer, who works with area employers and job seekers, made a presentation on January 26 to members of Ashford’s PBL, a national organization for students interested in pursuing a business career.

Rempfer earned his A.A. degree from Mount St. Clare College in 1975 and a B.B.A. degree with an emphasis in industrial relations from the University of Iowa in 1977.  He has made numerous presentations to students regarding the local labor market and job seeking skills. Ashford’s PBL organization continues to celebrate business education with conversations with Allie Parker, Clinton National Bank, on February 22; Lori Freudenberg, YWCA Director, on March 22 and Lynn McGraw, McGraw Accounting, on April 5. Light refreshments will be served and the public is invited to each session.
