Ashford University Plans Dance-A-Thon Fundraiser
Public Invited to Event Benefitting Speech and Hearing Center

The public is invited to a kickoff event in support of the Ashford University Student Government Association’s Dance-a-thon that will raise funds for the Mount St. Clare Speech and Hearing Center.

The kickoff event, set for Friday, March 4 at the Clinton County Club at the Oaks from 8 p.m. until midnight, will feature appetizers and refreshments, DJ music and drawings for prizes. The suggested donation is $10.00 at the door.

On Friday, April 1, beginning at 6 p.m., the SGA will hold its Dance-a-thon to benefit the 68-year-old speech and hearing center that is located in Regis Hall on the Ashford University campus. The 12-hour event in Kehl Arena will involve dancing, games, activities, performances and programs. Dancers will be required to be on their feet for the entire 12 hours as a symbol of the hardship people with disabilities face every day.

For more information on either of the events, please contact Stacy Powers, Student Development and Activities Coordinator, at 563.242.4023, ext. 7380.
