Ashford University Hosting Halloween Blood Drive

They want your blood on Halloween!

Ashford University’s Student Government Association and the American Red Cross will sponsor a blood drive on Tuesday, Oct 31 between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. in the Student Center.

Blood is always something in demand, but only five percent of Americans choose to donate. Donors must weigh 110-350 pounds, be at least 17 years of age, be in good health, feel well the day of donation, and their vital signs, such as blood pressure temperature, and pulse, must be within acceptable guidelines. Donors must have waited 56 days between whole blood donations and have not gotten any recent tattoos or piercing. People planning to give blood are reminded to take a photo ID with them.

The Halloween blood drive is open to faculty, staff, students, and the public. To make an appointment, contact the Student Services Office, extension 3500.
