Ashford University's Homefront Heroes Scholarships will Send Five San Diego Military Spouses to College
A choice of bachelor's or associate's degrees will be available to scholarship winners

For the second consecutive year, Ashford University’s Homefront Heroes program has made five college scholarships available to military spouses. The university, an educational institution owned by Bridgepoint Education, Inc. (NYSE: BPI), created the San Diego County Homefront Heroes Scholarship as a salute to the wives and husbands of American servicemen and women.

Ashford University’s 2011 San Diego County Homefront Heroes Scholarship Program acknowledges the unsung patience, tenacity and faith required to be a military wife or husband. Offered in partnership with Cox Communications, these scholarships are available to San Diego-based spouses and spouse-survivors of veterans and active duty members of the U.S. military, including the National Guard, reservists and the U.S. Coast Guard.

“It’s essential for every American to remember the sacrifices made by the families of our armed forces,” stated Dr. Elizabeth Tice, president of Ashford University. “We’re very proud that Ashford University can do its part to honor those sacrifices with the Homefront Heroes Scholarship.”

Further information and rules for the 2011 Ashford University San Diego County Homefront Heroes Scholarship Program are available at AshfordHomefrontHeroes.com, and all interested parties can submit an application through November 13, 2011.
